The Kemptown Carnivals 2017 season of fundraising events launches on April 8th at Horatio's Bar on the Brighton Palace Pier with an incredible double act of wild tropical psychedelia and electronic looping
King Lagoon’s Flying Swordfish Dance Band are one of the most exciting and original bands to come out of Brighton in many years. Blending traditional African and Brazilian melody and rhythm, powerful progressive psychedelia, and a visually stunning performance, the Flying Swordfish are a genuine breath of fresh tropical wonder.
Joining them in support will be the fantastical and enigmatic Bunty Looping. Warping the languages of the electronic and vocal spectrum, Bunty (Kassia Zermon) produces a playful and innovative performance packed with childhood energy and delight.
All fundraising is in aid of the Kemptown Carnival!
Tickets are £7 earlybird and £10 there after. Get your tickets HERE
The Kemptown Carnival is taking a year off in 2017 to transform its governing organisation into a Charity, a move that will ensure the Carnival can continue on an annual basis into the future. During 2017 the Carnival will be hosting a season of fundraising events with a range of gigs and festivities being planned at the Speigel Tent, St Georges Church, Patterns Nightclub, and the Komedia.
